Terms.
What the archive offers, and the terms under which it is offered.
These terms govern your use of blackmouth.world (the archive). By reading the archive, by submitting your email through the Pledge field, or by following any link the archive places on third-party platforms, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the archive.
What the archive is
The archive is an editorial work of folkloric and historical research. Each entry cites the documented sources from which it is drawn. The archive does not invent folklore. The archive does not present its material as supernatural fact. The archive presents it as cultural record.
Permitted use
You may read the archive freely. You may share links to entries. You may quote brief passages with attribution to blackmouth.world. You may not copy entries wholesale, republish them on other sites, or present them as your own work. The archive's text, photographs, illustrations, and overall design are the property of Cloud Motion Lab and are protected by copyright.
Third-party content
The archive cites and links to third-party sources, museums, academic publications, and historical newspapers. The archive does not control those sources and is not responsible for their content. Where the archive embeds media from third-party services (YouTube, Pinterest, and similar), use of that media is also subject to the terms of those services.
The Pledge
If you submit your email address through the Pledge field, you agree to receive plain unscheduled correspondence from the keepers of the archive. You may unsubscribe at any time. The handling of your email is described in the Privacy notice.
Companion applications
The archive references companion applications offered by Cloud Motion Lab on the Apple App Store (Spirit Box, The Veil, Ghost Detector, and others). Those applications are governed by their own end-user license agreements and the terms of the App Store. Nothing on this site grants you any right to use those applications outside of those agreements.
Disclaimers
The archive is offered for editorial and educational purposes. It is not medical, psychiatric, legal, or spiritual advice. Accounts of possession, haunting, and supernatural phenomena are presented as recorded by the cultures and witnesses who reported them. The keepers of the archive make no representation that any such phenomenon is real. The archive is offered as is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cloud Motion Lab and the keepers of the archive are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the archive or any companion application referenced on it.
Changes
